  • Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic became the first all-French pairing for 45 years to win the women's doubles title at the French Open on Sunday (5th June).

Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic could become the first all-French team to lift the women's doubles trophy at Roland Garros since 1971, if they could beat Elena Vesnina and Ekaterina Makarova on Saturday.

With the score at one set all a decisive break in the ninth game of the third set proved to be the crucial moment for Garcia and Mladenovic, as it put them on the verge of history.

It was left to Gacia to serve for the match...

Pure joy for Garcia and Mladenovic as they became the first French partnership to win the title in 45 years.

Their place in the Roland Garros history books is secured.
