  • Third seed Milos Raonic beat Czech Jiri Vesely 7-5, 7-6 (8-6) to reach the last eight at the Aegon Championships on Thursday (16th June).

Milos Raonic continued his encouraging start under the guidance of John McEnroe, with a straight-sets win over Jiri Vesely to reach the quarter-finals at the Aegon Championships in London.

The third seed looked comfortable throughout, but Vesely was no pushover and pushed Raonic at times.

In the end though it was the Canadian who triumphed in straight sets, taking the match 7-5, 7-6 (8-6) to win out in straight sets.

Raonic is a strong contender on grass, and under the guidance of McEnroe the Canadian could be a contender at Wimbledon.
