Roger Federer's bid for a ninth title in Halle remained on track after a straight sets quarter-final win over Belgium's David Goffin on Friday (17th June). The Swiss star will face Alexander Zverev in the final four.
After dominating the opening set Rodger Federer faced a nail-biting tie breaker in the second in his match with David Goffin in Halle.
Despite the pressure Federer won out 6-1, 7-6 to move into the semi-finals of the Gerry Weber Open.
The Swiss star will face Alexander Zverev, who left Marcos Baghdatis feeling frustrated.
Zverev underlined his status as a rising talent with a mature performance that saw him win out over the experienced Baghdatis 7-6, 6-3.
