Ayr 1-1 Brechin - Janczyk leveller boosts Brechin

Neil Janczyk`s late free-kick earned Brechin a 1-1 draw against Ayr in the Second Division play-off final first leg.
It looked as if Ayr would take the advantage thanks to Michael Moffat`s opener, but they were made to pay for several spurned chances.
The hosts took the lead on the half-hour when Moffat emphatically finished Mark Roberts` clever knock down.
Rory McAllister headed over from close range as Brechin searched for a way back into the game, although they were lucky to stay only one behind when Martyn Campbell wasted a good chance at the other end.
Ayr`s dominance came to the fore again and they were only denied a further goal by a fine double save from Craig Nelson, who superbly denied Roberts and then Moffat.
But Ayr were punished for not extending the lead as Brechin levelled when Janczyk fired in a free-kick from the right wing with four minutes remaining to ensure it is all to play for going into Sunday`s second leg.
