Mladost stadium in Zagreb, Croatia, hosted the latest meeting of the IAAF World Challenge on Tuesday.

The men's 3000 metre race gave the first headline of the meeting.

In a strong field, Caleb Mwangangi Ndiku - the 20 year old Kenyan - took the win in an impressive time of 7:35.06.

In the men's javelin, the winning throw came from Tero Pitkamaki of Finland.

The former world champion - and 2008 Olympic bronze medallist - produced a throw of 83.36 to win the title in some style.

In the women's 100 metre hurdles it was Dawn Harper-Nelson - silver medallist in London - who surged through after a poor start to take the win.

The men's 110 metre hurdles was just as closely contested.

David Oliver produced a superb finish and just beat compatriot Ryan Wilson, though both men were given an official time of 13.25 seconds.

Godfrey K Mokoena of South Africa won the men's long jump with his leap of 8.09 metres.

Next on the track was the men's 100 metres where Justin Gatlin was among the big names involved.

Mike Rogers built on a blistering start to win the race in 9.97 seconds.

And Silver medallist in the recent world championships, Ryan Whiting won the men's shot put here with a throw of 21.60 metres.
