Three-time Olympic gold medallist Veronica Campbell-Brown revealed on Monday she will return to the athletics track after receiving clearance from the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The 31-year-old returned a positive test for a banned diuretic at the Jamaica International Invitational last May.

She was then suspended by a Jamaican disciplinary panel following a reviewed of the case and missed last year's World Championships in Moscow.

Howard Jacobs, one of Campbell-Brown's lawyers, said there "was a serious and fundamental breakdown in the manner in which her urine sample was collected and handled in Jamaica."

In a statement release by Campbell-Brown, she quoted Martin Luther King, saying: "Dr Martin Luther King Jr spoke of the redemptive quality of unearned suffering and I must say I am redeemed."

Campbell-Brown could theoretically return to action in Poland at the Indoors, and then potentially in Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games.
