Tony Romo missed the Dallas Cowboys first practice in London on Wednesday (5th November) but head coach Jason Garrett is optimistic his quarterback may recover from a back injury in time to start against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

"I'm going to tell a story on some of our beat guys. One of the questions this week has been about Tony Romo and his health, a few of our guys keep asking me about the medicine here in London. 'Do they have medicine over there, do they have MRIs?' I'm like, 'this is where it all began, this is London, England.' To answer your question, this is obviously a pretty special place and the opportunity to be here this week is special for us. Certainly any training camp opportunity would be nice. Years ago we used to play these preseason games over here and spent a week, those are always great experiences for everybody."

"I've been over here a couple times to play in games and the atmosphere at the old Wembley Stadium was fantastic. It seems like the British fan base for American football is strong and they've grown up with another sport that they've embraced but certainly I feel like there's a real interest in our game. Anytime I've been over here they've really shown that to us, so it's a fun environment to be in. I don't know what the new one (Wembley) is going to be like relative to the old one. I know it's a great opportunity for us to come to one of the great cities and play in one of the great stadiums in the world."
