SOUNDBITE: (English) Tom Wood, England flanker (Q: If England lose against Australia, would this Autumn international series be a disaster?)

"It's incredibly disappointing, it depends on the manner of the loss I suppose. We haven't had the results we wanted, we couldn't have tried any harder, couldn't have prepared any harder, couldn't have trained any better and we couldn't have put more effort into the performance. But three losses from four would be pretty devastating yeah. It wouldn't be a disaster for us moving forward, it wouldn't be the end of this team, but it would be a very frustrating outcome."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Stuart Lancaster, England coach

"You know the Australia backline is high quality across the board, they've not announced the bench yet, but irrespective of who they pick on the bench, as a backline it's got some tidy players in. George is going to feel that, obviously he's not got the support of Owen (Farrell) alongside in that regard, but he's got Billy Twelvetrees I'm sure helping with those responsibilities. So that goal-kicking and managing the game is big to put on a young players shoulders, but I think we've always known the talent in and we feel now is the time to test him at the next level."

SOUNDBITE: (English) George Ford, England fly-half (Q: You started against Samoa and playing Australia is a step up, do you think this is a good test for you, with the World Cup in mind?)

"Yeah I think it's a good test for us all this week. I think Australia are a brilliant team, with some world class players, so coming off the back of the win against Samoa we are under no illusions it's going to be a step up for everyone individually and as a team. I think if we think about it as individuals, we probably won't get the team performance out there that we want to get out there. So it's all been about stepping up as a team and getting them combinations, what we're trying to do in attack and defence out there on the pitch."
